Soviet Veteran of Labor Medal

A civilian labor award established in 1978 by the Presidium of the Soviet Union. It was created to honor participation in the broader national economy via practically any avenue. Despite its short period of issuance, it would ultimately be awarded over 40 million times before 1991.
